Meet Scott
If you're a man trying to lead the way God's called you to — in a church, in a business, or at your own kitchen table — then I wrote this with you in mind. I've spent more than thirty-five years in all three, and I know the weight you're carrying.
A Little of My Story
For the last sixteen years I've pastored a church and led its school, walking with families through just about everything life and faith can hand a person. But before that — and right alongside it — I lived in the marketplace, too. I built a company from a single idea to multi-million dollars in annual revenue, and I've had to close one, so I know both the mountaintop and the valley.
I've led teams of nearly fifty people. I was elected to public office and learned to keep my integrity in rooms where it wasn't always welcome. Through all of it, one conviction held: a man's calling was never meant to be split into "sacred" and "secular."
Who I Walk With
You're leading in ministry and feeling a loneliness no one warned you about. The pulpit can be the most isolated place in the room — I've stood in it for sixteen years.
You're trying to lead with integrity in the workplace while the pull to compromise never quite lets up. I've built, led, and closed businesses — I know that tension firsthand.
You're still showing up, still faithful — but running on fumes and wondering how long you can keep it going. What you need isn't another program. It's another man who's been there.
I've been all three. And I've learned that what a man needs in those seasons is rarely another program. It's usually another man who's been there — and the reminder that God isn't finished with him yet.
What Makes This Different
Sixteen years pastoring. Decades building businesses, leading teams, and holding public office. By God's grace I've kept my faith, my marriage, and my family intact through both worlds — and I coach from both.
I care about your walk with God and your bottom line. Your calling and your character. Your leadership and your marriage. You can't be one man at the office, another at church, and a third at home. God is after the whole man — and so am I.
Just honest, brother-to-brother conversation, hard-won wisdom, and a deep belief that God has more for you than the version of yourself you've been settling for.
A Little About the Rest of Me
I've been married to my wife, Penny, for thirty-seven years — she's my partner in life and ministry both. Together we have four children and eleven grandchildren, which keeps our home loud and full and full of grace.
My faith in Jesus is the center of everything I am. It's the lens I see people through, and the reason I believe with everything in me that no man is ever too far gone to start again.
One email starts it. Tell me a little about what you're carrying — I personally read and answer every message.
